Vietnamese Enterprises and Re-Engineering Advertising

A seminar entitled "From AdAsia 2013 with regards to re-engineering advertising and marketing communications in Vietnamese business enterprises” was held on Friday, October 25th 2013 at the Gala Royale Convention Center; located at 63 Mac Dinh Chi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Jointly organized by the Friday Business Forum (FB Forum) and the AdAsia Vietnam Organizing Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, the event was attended by nearly 400 business owners, CEO’s and top management executives from local Vietnamese enterprises.

The seminar presented an opportunity to review various strengths and weaknesses of how Vietnamese businesses currently engage in advertising and how current local practices differ from the newest trends both regionally and around the globe.

Speakers from Dentsu Vietnam, Le Media, Masso Group, BDSC, Clipper Indochine, VietnamMarcom and Epinion discussed a number of concepts relating to changing trends in the marketing communications industry and how the digital age is affecting advertising norms in Vietnam business enterprises.

The assembled FB Forum members were given a brief summary of the scheduled program elements of the upcoming 28th Asian Advertising Congress – “AdAsia 2013” – and welcomed to attend the event which will be held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi from November 11th to 14th 2013.



Though Vietnamese enterprises have long had numerous sources of information available to them regarding the importance of investing in advertising and marketing in order to “build brands”, most local enterprises still remain far behind the established norms in the Western advertising industry.

In comparison to most of the world, Vietnamese advertising agencies and the overall state of the advertising industry in Vietnam still lag far behind the norm.

This seminar presents an opportunity to review the various strengths and weaknesses in how Vietnamese enterprises currently engage in advertising to market their products and services in order to recognize how our current practices differ from the newest trends in advertising both regionally and around the globe.
